The Rebels U8, U10, U12, U14 are coed while the Highschool teams are separated with a boys and girls division. The U8 division is non-contact, they play flag. Contact is introduced carefully and safely at U10 division and continues through High School.

Age for season is as of September 1, 2024

U8 Flag Coed

Boys:

4-8 years old; No weight restrictions

Girls:

4-9 years old; No weight restrictions

U10 Coed

Boys:

8 years old; No weight restrictions

9 years old; U10 if weight <= 132 lbs

10 years old; U10 if weight <=80 lbs

Girls:

8 – 10 years old; No weight restrictions

U12 Coed

Boys:

10 years old; No weight restrictions

11 years old; if weight <= 165 lbs

12 years old; if weight <= 100 lbs

Girls:

10 – 12 years old; No weight restrictions

U14 Coed

Boys:

No weight restrictions. 

12 – 13 years old

14 years old & in Middle School (within 3 months of age cutoff) or request waiver *

Girls:

No weight restrictions.

12-13 years old

14 years old & in Middle School

*There will be one weigh in at the beginning of the season, we will not need to take a picture of our players on a scale.

Registration must be completed prior to Dec 1st before it goes up $20 at each level.

First you must register your player on USA Rugby. Search for Foothills Rebels Rugby

Second you register your player on Match Facts.  No need for a picture on a scale this year.

1. What do I need to buy in order for my child to play? Mouthpiece, Cleats, and Shorts
2. Can my child use his soccer or football cleats? Yes, just make sure they are in good condition and fit properly  
3. I have several children that want to play, will the games be located in different places? Most of the games are all together in the same place. Some games, especially for older athletes, will be in a different location. Rugby is family and family offers rides! 
4. My child knows nothing about rugby, can he compete? Yes, effort makes all the difference in performance 
5. Is rugby safe for my child? Yes, statically safer than football. Rugby players don't wear protective equipment. Thus the rugby player doesn't have the same disregard for the safety of his or her head, neck, and shoulders when tackling or trying to break through a tackle
